How to Use Heatmaps in ProProfs Qualaroo
Heatmaps in ProProfs Qualaroo reveal how users actually interact with your pages, helping you uncover patterns that aren’t visible through standard analytics. By identifying where attention is concentrated and where it drops off, you can make focused layout changes that improve usability and guide users toward key actions.
Benefits:
-
Improved Page Optimization: Understand which sections of your page attract the most attention and adjust layouts or content placement accordingly.
-
Better Decision-Making: Use real user interaction data to make informed design and UX improvements.
-
Increased Conversions: Place key elements, such as CTAs, in high-engagement areas to drive user actions and improve outcomes.
Example:
A marketing team wants to improve conversions on a landing page. By analyzing heatmaps, they identify that users frequently click on a non-clickable banner while ignoring the main CTA button. Based on this insight, they reposition the CTA to a high-engagement area, resulting in increased conversions.
Steps to Create and Use Heatmaps
Step 1: Go to Heatmaps
Log in to your ProProfs Qualaroo account. From the dashboard, switch to Behaviour Tracking (Heatmap & Session Recording) and then click on Heatmaps.

Switch to the Sites tab and go to Site Settings for the site.
Navigate to the Installation Guide section and copy the tracking code.
Paste the code within the <head> section of your website pages.
Important Notes:
-
Data collection begins only after the code is installed.

The script is lightweight and does not impact page performance.
-
You can disable tracking at any time if needed.
-
It is recommended to update your website’s privacy policy accordingly.
Step 4: View Heatmap Data
Once your heatmap starts collecting data, you can view user interaction patterns directly from the Heatmaps dashboard.
If no data appears:

Verify that the tracking code is correctly installed.
-
Ensure your page is receiving traffic.
