How to Use Dynamic Language Selection in a Survey

 

Qualaroo offers Dynamic Language Selection, allowing you to translate surveys into multiple languages effortlessly. This feature helps you reach a diverse audience and gather valuable feedback from different geographies, thereby improving website leads.

How to Translate the Survey Into Different Languages

 

Before you begin, make sure you have created your survey. If you haven't already done so, follow the steps in our survey creation guide to set up your survey.

 

Step 1: Click on ‘Add Translation.

Step 2: Select the language you’d like to add from our drop-down menu.

Step 3: Choose your preferred method for translation:

 

  • Automatically Translate

  • I will translate myself

From the editor, you can manage language variations in the following ways:

  1. Delete any variation directly.
  2. Choose to translate a specific screen.
  3. Retranslate the entire survey.

 

How does Qualaroo know which language to show?

 

Qualaroo detects what language your site visitor uses via the page’s language tag. Depending on that tag, Qualaroo will show the appropriate language.

 

For instance,

<html lang="fr"> is French.

<html lang="en"> is English.

 

If you have a survey translated into either language, we’ll display the correct survey.

 

What if the browser’s language doesn’t match my translations?

 

In case the page's language tag doesn't match any translated version, you can set the language to default to the Primary Language specified within the 'Targeting' tab. However, please note that this option will only be available once you have created and saved a language variation and will be located near the bottom of the 'Targeting' tab.

Exporting Responses

At this time, you can export data from translated nudges on a per-language basis.

 

Exporting from the Dashboard

 

A quick way to export your data is from your dashboard.

 

Step 1: Click MORE drop-down and select EXPORT.

Exporting from the Reporting Tab

 

  1. Go to the classic reporting tab.
  2. Select the 'Report for' drop-down option and choose the desired language.

3. Use the left drop-down to export CSV v1 (by responses) or CSV v2 (by answers - Watson supporting) to export the report.
