General FAQs- Privacy & Data Handling
1. Is the data transferred from my website handled through HTTPS?
Indeed, all Qualaroo applications use HTTPS encryption with 4096-bit SSL certificates from Symantec/Verisign.
2. Does Qualaroo have a data retention policy?
Like many cloud-based data companies, Qualaroo, by default, retains all data (at least in its original raw form). Qualaroo uses the S3 service within AWS, which has become standard among many software vendors.
3. How Can I Set Qualaroo Not to Store IP Address?
Qualaroo supports the option not to store IP addresses with responses per domain.
If you are ever interested in preventing IP addresses from being stored with your responses, please send your request to us via chat or email, including each domain you want to include. We will promptly take care of you!
7. Is Qualaroo Affected by Safari's Intelligent Tracking Prevention?
No! While Safari's Intelligent Tracking Prevention primarily targets third-party cookies and blocks websites from tracking you across the web, Qualaroo utilizes first-party cookies to track user identities and whether those users responded to surveys.
Third-party cookies come from a domain the user is not currently visiting (for example, the "Like" button on the site sets a cookie from Facebook). In contrast, first-party cookies belong to the user's domain.
Since Qualaroo provides first-party cookies, you will be unaffected by ITP's goal of disrupting Cross-Site Tracking.
